Community Educator - Helping us to Serve those in Need
You or a group of your friends can help by distributing CareSource literature to doctors' offices and other public information centers in your community. In addition you can help by reaching out to organizations like Kiwanis, Rotary, civic, community and religious groups to schedule a guest speaker from CareSource. You can help us build our presence on the social media channels so we are no longer South Florida's best kept secret. Many individuals in our community struggle with family members or neighbors who need help and do not know where to turn.
Ensure Those with No Resources are not Forgotten
News stories continue to report on the exploitation, abuse, and neglect of our elders and vulnerable citizens who have no one in their life to ensure their safety. Each year CareSource must raise close to $200,000 to serve our pro-bono clients who need our services to ensure they are not abused, neglected or exploited. You and your friends can share your talents by assisting with fundraising activities related to our Annual Pro-Bono Recognition Luncheon and other events held during the year. You will work with our Director of Program Development, Board Members, and other volunteers on our Fundraising Committee and meet new individuals who are also passionate about our mission.
Work Behind the Scenes – Office and Financial Assistance
Office Volunteers serve as important assets to CareSource performing clerical and administrative tasks including general office work and assistance to our professional staff with completion of documentation and work flow processes such as typing, data entry, answering phones, filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying and more. Financial Service volunteers help with both client and CareSource daily money management tasks. The efficient completion of these tasks allows us to devote our time to the needs of our clients to ensure they remain safe and well taken care of.
Board of Directors and Board Committees
Support the governance of CareSource by serving on our Board of Directors or one of our Board Committees. CareSource is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors representing corporate, professional, and community-based organizations. Individual members are selected for their leadership abilities, talent, experience, and dedication. There are active Finance, Governance and Development Committees with Ad Hoc Committees established as needed. In addition there is a Trust Advisory Committee to review client records and assess appropriate new trust cases.
